Hydrogen
Definition
The simplest and most abundant chemical element, consisting of one proton and one electron. It is a colorless, odorless, and highly flammable gas at room temperature. Hydrogen can be used as a clean energy carrier, with potential applications in fuel cells, which produce electricity through a chemical reaction between hydrogen and oxygen, emitting only water as a byproduct. It is also used in industrial processes, such as refining and ammonia production, and is explored as a means to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in various sectors.
