Environmentally Extended Input Output
(EEIO)
Definition
A methodological framework used to analyze the environmental impacts of economic activities. It extends traditional input-output tables, which map the flow of goods and services within an economy, by incorporating environmental data such as resource use, emissions, and waste. This approach allows for the assessment of how different sectors contribute to environmental impacts and facilitates the evaluation of the environmental footprint of economic activities across supply chains.
