Carbon Capture Incentive Program

(CCIP)
Definition

A government or industry-led initiative designed to encourage the adoption of carbon capture technologies. These programs offer financial incentives, such as tax credits, grants, or subsidies, to companies that invest in capturing and storing carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions from industrial processes or energy production. The goal is to reduce the overall carbon footprint and support the transition to a low-carbon economy by making carbon capture more economically viable.
