Biennial Transparency Report

(BTR)
Definition

Is a periodic report submitted by countries under international climate agreements, such as the Paris Agreement, to provide updates on their climate actions and progress. These reports are typically submitted every two years. The goal of the Biennial Transparency Report is to enhance transparency, accountability, and trust among countries by providing a standardized framework for reporting and reviewing climate actions and contributions.
