(MEP)
Definition
A group of specialists tasked with developing, reviewing, and refining methodologies, standards, and guidelines for specific technical processes or projects. In the context of environmental and climate initiatives, such panels often work on ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and transparency of methodologies used for measuring, reporting, and verifying (MRV) greenhouse gas emissions, carbon credits, or other environmental data. The panel's work helps ensure that methodologies are scientifically sound and aligned with international best practices.
